Since the Obama ministrations massive health-care reform, one of the first big new programs is set to start next month in California. This program is in health insurance plan for people suffering from pre-existing medical conditions who have been denied coverage from providers. A local massage San Diego therapy physician is pleased to see this take effect so quickly in San Diego.

This new program is to be funded by the federal government to the tune of $761 million and overseen by an agency in Sacramento California. The agency set the monthly cost of premiums for the pre-existing conditions insurance plan this past week. The premiums will vary depending on the age and County of the individual but are set to not exceed a standard rate. Fortunately for San Diego, premiums are among the lowest for those in San Diego ranging from $127 a month for people under the age of 15 to $904 a month for those over the age of 74.

A San Diego massage therapist advised that applications can be filled out this month for coverage that will begin in September. Experts have discovered that an estimate of about 250,000 Californians will fall into the category for this insurance plan. Of which, about 15,000 in San Diego County residents are expected to sign up.
